Joined: February 2002 Posts: 5750 Location: Scotland | I'd used that guitar just before Al, and EQ'd it for playing fingerstyle backup with Crosby, so it was way too middly for strumming. I should have warned you about that, but if a halfway reasonable engineer had been paying attention it could have been fixed at the board. That said, the guy running the board was not the regular guy and admitted that he didn't really know what he was doing. The slapback thing improved when I changed the FX program to a plate setting | ||

(he's been IBMA's Mandolin Player of the Year seven years in a row (2002-2008) There is just something about his timing, phrasing, and feeling in his playing that just speaks to me.... | ||
