On the open market you should get more than that if you sold it, and compared to any other $100 guitar out there you've got a better instrument. A $100 instrument that plays easily and has a great sound is a bargain in terms of absolute value. A few hours worth of your labor equals $100, and for that you get a great looking instrument that sounds great. What a bargain!

Then you remind them that it only cost you a hunnert bucks! It doesn't have a Truss Rod? (I would think that it does) I would be upset that it has a glue-on neck, cuz I couldn't reset it myself. But I have only done One neck reset, and I hope not to need another. Yes, Many Ovations do get finish cracks. Remember... It only cost $100! [BTW-- My CSE24 only cost me $188 total... And the ZG gig-bag is worth $79. Yeah, it is a Celebrity. But it only cost $188 and it still has that new Lyracord smell!]

I own 2 1978 usa applause guitars with non adjustable aluminum necks. I added a pickup to one of them. A fret dress... excellent guitars. Those are the ones I use in concert. Straight necks. You have an American made Ovation. Enjoy! scott lamperd b c (before computers)
