Location: Utah | Oh yeah, definitely worth $100 if in good condition. On the open market you should get more than that if you sold it, and compared to any other $100 guitar out there you've got a better instrument.
A $100 instrument that plays easily and has a great sound is a bargain in terms of absolute value. A few hours worth of your labor equals $100, and for that you get a great looking instrument that sounds great. What a bargain! |

Location: Reading, Pa. | thanks for the feedback. yes i've had it a while and i get alot of negative comments about the guitar. most notably that it doesn't have an adjustable neck and it was only made for one year. is it common for the finish to check? |

Okay, you let them insult your guitar...
Then you remind them that it only cost you a hunnert bucks!
It doesn't have a Truss Rod? (I would think that it does)
I would be upset that it has a glue-on neck, cuz I couldn't reset it myself.
But I have only done One neck reset, and I hope not to need another.
Yes, Many Ovations do get finish cracks.
Remember... It only cost $100!
[BTW-- My CSE24 only cost me $188 total... And the ZG gig-bag is worth $79.
Yeah, it is a Celebrity. But it only cost $188 and it still has that new Lyracord smell!] |

| I have a 1517 Ultra.First O I ever bought.
The trussrod adjustment is in the sound hole,not in the headstock.
Great guitar |

Location: Tennessee | 1517 is probably Korean. Wooden neck, not urelite. 1511 is US made with the foam neck. Not adjustable. |

Location: Eaton, Indiana | I have had several high end ovations, all pretty nice. But my favorites? I own 2 1978 usa applause guitars with non adjustable aluminum necks. I added a pickup to one of them.
A fret dress... excellent guitars. Those are the
ones I use in concert. Straight necks. You have an American made Ovation. Enjoy!
