Brad, the main reason is we are still raising our kids and are on a reduced budget this year...but since it is a large investment and not an essential, we talk it over...she trusts my judgment but it's both of our money...sounds like both our systems work just fine...

Most of us seem to be doing just fine with whatever method works for us. We just have Ovation dorkdom in common.

Yep. Not passing any judgment here, nor needing any explanations. Just commenting on a different end of the decision-making spectrum that seems to work with equal success. What is important is that we find what works for each of us in our own circumstances and environments.

I'm not that much of a dork, especially if Bobbo is using the rhythm method.

Good for you, Zilla. This is the same wife that said "Buy more guitars. I want to decorate the house with them."

Jas, That's why she wanted me to buy the guitar, she liked the color and thought it would look good next to the 47 RI.

I dropped the guitar off at the luthier today to get the frets dressed. I'll take some pictures when I get it back.

You mean the ones that were hanging way up out of reach in the Times Square store?

48th Street but close enough ... I think he had serial number 1 or 2 of every damn one of them.

Correct, it's not on Times Square, my bad, but that's the store I meant…

The guitars were still there last spring. I asked about them and was told that they were "Mr. Ash's private collection." I then asked why they had that amazing collection of Ovations hanging up there, yet they only had a few lower-end Ovations for sale. That's when they stopped talking to me…

They have since been removed. Just wondering if he still has them or they got dumped somewhere.

Come to think of it, it was probably around a year ago (Fall 2009) that I saw them there… where are they now? Good question…
