According to a search here, not all that long ago a shiny bowl on its own was worth $500. Yes, pretty good buy. Unfortunately, non moi.

Not that I visit eBay often... But I have a little Toolbar button that sez " evilBay Ovation"
I don't know HOW I could have missed this one and the 97 Collectors'.
So, NO! Not me neither.

I had been watching both but had already pulled the trigger on an '03 1866...so I'm done buying for a while. At least that's what my husband says.

Carol, don't ask for a definition of "a while." It's better to use your definition.
Then tell your husband that the vast majority of husbands disagree with him. The "rule" is that you can never have too many guitars. It says so right on my T-shirt.
Finally, be prepared for him to buy something of at least comparable value to your guitars.

He's gone back to college full time...so between Ovations and snowboards I think we're even. :-)

Now if only I could play as good as the guitars look...

I asked him some pretty specific questions on setup and he said he would get back to me but never did. Not a good sign.
