Location: Scotland | This got best in show at NAMM, though I fail to see why. No surprise to me that Fender acquired KMC and then came out with a VXT for the sheep mentality. I really can't see who this would appeal to. It does the pretend acoustic thing along with a Tele neck pickup. Who would need that combination? If you need something like this buy a VXT. Regardless of it's success or failure the VXT was well-conceived and well-executed, the Tele thing is just a poorly thought out attempt to do a "VXT by Fender" |

Location: Scotland | Yes, Fender have used the term Acoustasonic for years on pretty crappy acoustic-electrics, but this one has the Fishman Aura guts, fairly obviously "borrowed" from the VXT, which was the first Hybrid guitar to use onboard modelling technology |

Location: Indiana | I've played these types of guitars for many years now. I got a Godin Acousticaster in 97 specifically for playing support guitar in pluged-in acoustic settings. Eventually moved on to the EA-68 but always wanted one more evolution. Close the top and add a mag neck PU. A sort-of VXT with a viper bridge and neck is what I had in mind.
The acoustic bridge is what the VXT lacks for me though. The only reason I don't use one.
I'd be interested in taking this Fender for a spin.
I'd likely not like the images though. It would be even cooler with an RMC pick-up system. :-) |

Location: USA | Yeah...I am highly surprised at the lack of push the Vxt received.
I was in a few local GC's and it was pushed in the corner with a ton of dust on not even set up.
I figured fender would come out with something to compete...I hope that Fender does not discard Ovation for its own success. |

Location: Ohio | Maybe Al should buy the company and keep it here...... We can all be stockholders. THere is an Aerospace company here in Cleveland that when the owner passed away, his saughter was just going to break it up and sell it off. 6 of the engineers bouth it and they just signed a HGE contract with AirBus..... |
