| Mind numbing.
Tapping and slapping is to music what Pop Idol is to Opera.
Thirty-forty years ago Os were being played by McLaughlin, Coryell, Lagrene, Di Meola, Clapton and for singer/songwriters Stevens, Mason, Croce.....
This tapping stuff sucks better than a Dyson. |

Krista's trio is expanding the range of the guitar in live performance and spreading it to new audiences. IMHO that is a good thing. Thirty years ago, my parents were calling Clapton and Croce dirty drugged up hippies, and were very unsupportive of my music as a result of their opinion of 60's/70's pop music. It was noise, not real music like the big band stuff they grew up on (in between the noise of bombs and V-1 rockets).
So I say good job to Krista. She's not screaming incomprehensible lyrics about killing cops, and she's not falling down stoned on stage. She's playing music that people like and that gets people off of their couch into a club. |

Croce was 7 years dead, though, so I guess he was clean.
I like tapping - when blended creatively (and judiciously) with other styles. Nothing but a tapping drone for 5 or 10 minutes does, as some might say, numb the mind. |

I still don't get the screamo, power chord stuff, though. |

Oh yeah, Ovation makes great legs.....I mean guitars. |
