When I first ordered this critter, I had never tried anything custom before, so I never even thought about the appearance of the neck. I just asked them to swap out the original 6-string neck and bridge with mandocello equivalents. It became the first fully hand-rubbed urethane neck I owned, and I had not acquired my preference for the gloss feel and look yet. Here it is the first time I picked it up at the factory:
After a couple of years rooting around the ol' trading post, I finally managed to come up with the scratch to have it customized one final time, and here are the final glossy, bursty results:
