A ballpark guess would be ~ .125" - .150"

From The History of Ovation Guitars , (referring to the Adamas composite top) "at just fifty thousandths of an inch thick, one-third the thickness of a typical Spruce top".

Thanks so much. I'm having a 1869 with a cracked top (and to which I've become very attached) redone with a sinker redwood top. The person from whom I'm getting the top will join and sand it for me and wanted to know what thickness I wanted. Still deciding on whether I'll have the work done locally or at the Mothership. I'm making sure to keep the carved bridge and original rosette. I'm selling my 1619 to fund this little project. Between that and my new 2079lx I think I'll have the bases covered :-)

The top thickness of my 2078T-? is about 4mm measured through the sound hole.
That is about the same as the CSE44 measured through the sound hole.

A metric ruler is that only thing that I have...
The conversion chart sez "4 millimeters = 0.157480315 inches"

Another one sez that 4mm is just over 1/8"
(and 5mm is 3/16")

Post pictures when you are done,
