Location: chicago | Was wondering if it would be possible to modify my ovation uke to accomodate the idea preamp,so I can become a better uke player by playing chord progressions and jammin over the top ....not sure if the four string configurartion would work? your thoughts! |

My response is "Go For It!"
If you have a pickup from a ukulele it should work.
Or an Artec PP 404U pickup. It has a plug-in that is much like the plug on an Ovation pickup.
But the can might be hard to put into the side of a Uke.
The curve of the body might not match, and the can would take-up alot of space in the body.
But none of that would matter much once you were plugged into the amplifier.
(I put an OP11 in a Trekker... It was ugly, but it worked great!) |

Location: Chicago | If you can plug 'er in, why not acquire a Boss LoopStation (like mine) for half the price of the IDEA? As a practice tool, it is superior: great drum sounds and totally "stompable" at the precise second you need to begin "looping"! |
