Hello from the Great (frozen) Northwest...or actually North Central.

Been a long time...very hard to get time to post or even stop by. Been enjoying the Cedar Elite I bought from BVince a while back, and playing my 1713 more with the holidays approaching (love the way Christmas Carols sound on the classical).

Hope all are doing well and staying warm! -17 windchills here Thanksgiving day...I am Shirley (in memory of Leslie Neilson) not in Arizona anymore!

Yeah... The novelty of 110 degree weather wears-off quick, huh?

Good to hear (read) from ya!

I'm still in Indiana but I miss Minnesota. Is it true that you have to re-apply for admission up
there once you leave? Just wondered...

Sorry for the delayed response...Yes, we are back in the Northland. No, we didn't get tired of the weather in Mesa...on the contrary, my wife and I loved it in Arizona. Unfortunately, we could not sell our home in Minnesota, to make a long story short, tough decisions had to be made and we ended up back in the frozen tundra...somewhat victims of the present economy/housing market.

Anyways, enough whining...the good news is, I am closer to family and lifetime friends once again...something to be said for that! I would never discourage anyone from moving to the valley...it is beautiful in the east valley (along the Superstition Mountains), and the heat is not as big a factor as the cold back up here...we are hopful we will be able to return someday before we are too old to physically enjoy it.

Thanks for the well wishes...I really will try to stop by more often, but it seems my evenings are filled with shoveling snow and hauling wood, while I am verboten to use my work computer to stop in to chat. Still teaching...I now work wth teen kids placed outside their homes into a group home setting (one for Boys and one for Girls)...traveling from building to building. It was fun in the fall, but now with the cold weather, it's a bit of a challenge.

Leading worship music every other Wednesday night, and doing specials on Sundays.

Not much new in the instrument department, sold off a few to pay the bills. Anyways, still an OFC'er at heart, just not in practice lately.

I'll stop in again tomorrow night...take care

Sorry to hear that, Norse, but things could be much worse. Sounds like you still have a job you enjoy and you must be playing some in order to do the worship music.
I'm not as likely to get to Bemidji as Phoenix, but hope our paths cross again.
