The case for the Nylon O I got the other day is it's original from what the previous owner said but it is REALLY tight when closing, I'm almost worried about hurting the guitar.
Do you think that the case has just aged funny and causing this?
I'm gonna get another case for it nontheless but I was just wondering is all.

AGE & Gravity....unkind & impolite to everything.
Nope, I wouldn't endure the angst, either.

My new deluxe case for my 2080 does not want to close right...It is very tight as well.
Trying to figure out what is wrong as I have to pull the lid into alignment. May be as simple a squeezing/reshaping the foam by hand... One case for mid and deep bowls (or contour)may not work as I had hoped.

Michael, is that an older brown case?
Some of the older brown cases were made for "Artist" bowl guitars...
Especially the ones with the purple fur inside.

Kentrookie, I had to buy a New 8158 case for contour bowl Ovations.
The one with the Big raised "Ovation" logo... Not metal.
I have old metal label 8158's and 9158's that contour bowl guitars will not fit in.
Older 9158 and 8158 will not work with the contour bowl.
(I am not sure about the Newer 9158's)

It may be possible to force them into the case and hope that the foam will move...
I wouldn't have tried it.
I also have a mid-depth Zero Gravity case... No Contour for that one either.

Old Man, it is a brown case but with brown lining.
It's just really, really tight.
I am just going to buy a newer deep bowl case for the 1116, gonna put a want-ad post in the for sale section in a few minutes.
Right now it's sitting on a guitar stand looking really pretty :)

I do actually really want a purple-lined case for a deep bowl though, it's my favorite color.
Did they make the purple ones for deep bowls or were they just for the artist bowls?
