Miles,

You really should know better than to eat airplane poi…

Hope you are completely recovered now and able to enjoy Hawaii…

Thanks for all the kind words. I'm back in Washington now. Officially the worst vacation ever. We did get to go back to the Polynesian Cultural Center show on their invite (that's where my ambulance ride started) so that was nice. Also noted the Acoustic guitars were all Ovation.... as I would expect. As a few others will attest, Ovations have been and likely always be the instrument of choice for any professional musician in Hawaii. Nothing else can stand the constant temp and humidity changes. Over there a guitar has to be able to go from heat/humid to cool/humid to inside cool air-conditioned and dry from one set to the next... every day, and unless you just want to spend your time tuning, you get an Ovation.

But other than a couple of nice meals, and a trip to the Bowfin and Might Mo, that was the extent of "vacation." I'm not convinced there isn't surgery or chimo (or both) in my near future, but I'm eating real food again which is nice.

Again.. thanks..

The only thing worse than being seriously ill, is being seriously ill away from home. Glad you're back safely. I'll say a little prayer for a good prognosis.
