A documentary with J. Page, Jack White, and the Edge talking about guitars.
Even if you're not a big fan of the players it is interesting to watch.

It's interesting to contrast The Edge (I hate that name) and Jack White. Edge is all about processing the sound with fifty different effects boxes while White prefers an old Kay guitar that he got from a Salvation Army store 10 years ago.

White's theory is that a guitar should NEVER be easy to play. You should have to fight and struggle with it on every note.

Worth a watch.

I agree it is a good watch.

Yeah... it was kinda like an OFC Tour 2 a.m. lobby jam.

None of those three excite, inspire or interest me as musicians, but I bought the movie on DVD because the concept seemed really interesting. Note to self: follow your instincts.

People are inspired by weird things. I've heard things I like from all three of these guys.

But then, I'm a bit of a "whackjob" myself

+1 I have to agree. You are a wackjob... :) Seriously, I like elements of all three for their methods more than their product.

One scene that stands out in my memory is when page starts playing a riff, and the edge and white get real quite and watch and listen, like, so that's how he did it ...
