Location: Sandy Ut. | I've recently aquired a Deacon 12 string electric guitar on a trade... Sunburst in color, average condition, late 70's I believe... Can someone please give me an idea of the value of it.. Works and plays as it should... |

Location: Utah | Did you get the one off of KSL? That one was tempting me something fierce! The broken ear on the headstock is probably the biggest value killer on that guitar. The used market is really rough right now so it would be hard to say what the fair market value is. In excellent condition I think somewhere in the $600 to $1000 range is where a Deacon 12 would sell on eBay, depending on the vagaries of auctions.
The minor dings and the broken headstock ear on the one on KSL probably puts it in the $500 to $700 range. But honestly the market is so depressed and strange right now that values are all over the map. Like you, I've done trades rather than suffer selling a guitar for so little. I think the Deacon on KSL was reasonably priced for the current market, with not a lot of room for a quick profit, and no downside. A great value at that price without doubt. |
