One of the reasons I played Ovations for over 30 years is that they were really the first acoustic electric guitars. I have an old Gibson Dove, that I want to put an acoustic pick up in, with minimal intrusions on the body of the guitar. Anyone have any suggestions or advice on a good under bridge pick up? Thanks.

I've had B-Band and K&K pickups. Both sound VERY natural.

I've stuck with K&K's because they work well with the OpPro's in my Ovations.

I have a K & K pure western mini and an L R Baggs I Beam passive. Of the two the K & K has a hotter signal without a pre amp. Both are very natural sounding however an under sound board type will be prone to feedback in loud situations. If that is your use look at the B -Band.

+1 on the B band. I had a hard time keeping the K&K from feedback without using a preamp and dialing down the mid.

I installed a Fishman PRE-FIX PRO into my (all-acoustic) 1974 1117 Legend. The sound, the preamp power and the EQ are out of this world... Highly, highly recommended.
