Ok, sorry I haven't been here awhile, this is what we've been working on for so long. Finally posted a couple of videos on youtube where you can see the replica Partridge era Ovation amps we built, Mike's nutmeg typhoon and Jimmy's nutmeg thunderhead. We haven't gotten around to finishing all the breadwinners and deacons and eclipses (including the custom basses), but someday soon I'll have a real good collection pic. I was bummed that we couldn't get the metal strips around the interior of the wood cases for the amps and speakers put in (I'd run around the day before, before the recording session getting them from the sheet metal company, and they cost us a couple of hundred bucks, and since then we left them with the builder of the cabs and they disappeared.) They couldn't fit in anyway because of how the cabinets were made. All in all, I think they came out ok although they would have looked a lot better with those strips!

Here are the urls:

Also, if you haven't gotten your free CD download yet, head over to the main website. You don't even have to register.

Thanks!

You are nuts!

But in a very cool, retro and heroic way... Good job!

Thank you so much!!! We try.

And not just because of the Partridge legacy. It's because of the quality of Ovation and how far ahead of the times they were.

I dunno, if Kustom and Acoustic and all the other amp makers that died because they only made solid state were resurrected with tube amps, I see no reason why Ovation couldn't be someday with an all-tube line or tube-solid state hybrids. Those designs are still the coolest ever made.

For live we're eventually going to take a couple of Marshall vintage stacks and turn them into Ovations. With working tube heads. Jimmy's based on the Marshall pig we have and Mike's on the Fender '64 Concert (source of his bass sound), only with 200 watts and 10" vintage fender cheap speakers instead of the 12" vintage Celestions in Jimmy's.

Thanks to all the regulars here who helped us figure everything out, and to the special guys who passed on stuff to let us get it. Hopefully as the shows go everyone will be turned on to Ovation all over again.

One word, Les: Fender.

Congrats on the project. It's been a long time in the making. But couldn't you just get Susan, David, and Danny to join Shirley? Lord knows they all could use the work. ;)

ROFL!!! Susan actually loves us, she was one of our first myspace friends. Danny learned about us very early on and quit radio to do his reality TV show which destroyed his marriage and career.

David? David likes us too, and is still doing fantastic sellout concerts all over the place, especially in England. I don't think anyone could pay him enough money to do what we're doing.

Plus, hey you guys!! That's really us playing on that CD!! Wrecking Crew II! ;) We're a REAL band!! Wait until you guys see Stephanie and Avis in action!

Thanks for all the good wishes!
