I have had the good fortune of seeing him in concert three (3) times - once sitting front row center. The last time I saw him was in Nashville a couple of years ago where my son and I were honored to sit at a table with Ralph Emery and his lovely wife Joyce. This was an experience in and of itself - he shared some great memories. During the concert, there were a few moments where Glen seemed distracted or would ask what key a certain song was in - I wondered then what was occurring. He is the reason that I own and play Ovation guitars. Having watched my grandmother go through Alzheimer's, I can only hope that the transition is peaceful for him because I know it will not be easy for his family . . .nor for those of us enjoyed him through the years.

Lost my Father to dimensia/alzheimers, not a great way to go but he always enjoyed our company and our smiles (whoever the heck we were!).

There were a lot of performers playing Ovations back in the '70's, what happened? You'd think that in this day and age of going green everybody would be using guitars that used less wood just to save the trees!!
