Location: AZ | New guy here. I was gifted an Ovation from a family member. She purchased the guitar new in 1991. Paperwork state: Model # 5868-AS, Serial # 439576, Date Purchased 8/10/91, Price $1600.
She NEVER played it. Still has the original strings. Not a scratch, dent, or ding. What a gorgeous guitar. Thanks for looking.

Location: Steeler Nation, Hudson Valley Contingent | That's a gorgeous instrument! I am unclear though, are you trying to sell it or simply letting us in on a great gift? Either way, I bet it looks even better in person. :) |

Location: AZ | I have a couple acoustic guitars (Fenders) and now this one... this guitar has a much richer and fuller sound. I love the neck width/size. The strings are original and need to be replaced. What a honey of a guitar! |

Any body out here who knows how many were made?
That would be very interesting for me to know.
Mine has the sticker inside like the collectors' had it.

I think that can't be a lot. Who has one of these here in the family, too?

Location: AZ | No problem Bob... this is the back sheet of the owner's manual showing the information about the guitar and when she purchased it.

Kinda cool to look at and sounded a bit bright and thin unplugged but was just gorgeous sounding when plugged in. |
