My black 1990 Model 1869 Custom Legend has finally come home from the hospital for an extended stay!

Frank Ford at Gryphon Stringed Instruments in Palo Alto, CA did a neck reset personally. It then went to Gary Brawer in San Francisco for a "Plek Job" and final tweak.

End result is a fantastic playing instrument!

SO now it's back to 1869CL > BOSS DM-2 Analog Delay > BOSS CH-1 Super Chorus > Fender Vibro Champ (with custom installed Line Out to the PA system if needed).

Think Simon & Garfunkle "Concert in the Park" and you have the TONE! TONE! TONE! this combo produces!

Yep, I'm a happy dude again!

What is a "Plek Job?"

Pleking is a relatively new method to level frets via computer analysis of the instrument.

It takes a special machine (very expensive to buy) to do the job, but your instrument will be buzz free at every spot on the neck when the job is done. Intonation will be perfect as well.

Well worth the $225 I paid for the process!
