Location: Caribou, ME | I haven't done much in the shop for about 8 months. I've avoided in in fact. Takes a while for things to go back to normal.
I decided to start showing some how-to stuff about my favorite reprobate Applause guitars. I'm not sure what other pages I may build; could be just simple stuff about shimming the neck or I may tackle the fairly common issue of popped braces and the consequent ski-slope top.
Those more well versed in repair may find this old-hat, but it's geared to the person who a) doesn't want to throw out their Moosupium Laminate guitar, b) can't find a repair person who will WORK on it (imagine that!) and c) has a modicum of talent at the bench.
This is not a normal how-to thing.... but they're not normal guitars, and ya gotta do what ya gotta do.... if a person wants to save it, the end justifies the means.

.
I did misread the thread title tho.
I thought that someone refferred to as "Baby" was stepping into the workshop. |
