Does anyone know anything about this pre-amp. The Celebrity I owned decades ago had one, and I've found another guitar with one, but it's on an 80's Balladeer. It has no battery that I can find but still puts out a decent signal. Now I'm mostly curious to know the details about it. (Sorry Jerome, I had to use your picture to illustrate. It was the best one I could find.)

Hi Patch,
I've had one of those in my 12-string Celeb CC65 as well. It's a pasive one (without battery), it works but the signal is very low. Mine had a lot of hum and noise, so I took it out and built an active preamp in. It was a very cheap one but sounded much better.
