The problem is that I won't be able to try it out and will have to order it online. So could you, please, help me with your opinions on this model (or any other from the demented series)? I am looking for good, deep unplugged sound and a thin guitar neck (for small fingers). What other Ovations would you recommend me in the same price range? Thank you!

Algeria?) and the only reviews I could find screamed "MARKETING". Here\'s a beautiful used Elite Special S868 for what you'd pay for the DJ.

That is why I need a more professional opinion.

You really need to play one yourself to decide. You said you can't try that model locally, but do you have a store nearby that carries any other Ovation models? I would recommend that you get your hands on them and see if you like he neck/feel/sound of similar models before you order anything online. Better yet, if you can try some at a local Ovation dealer, chances are they could order the exact model you want for you, which would be the safest bet. Someone may correct me, but I think the model you like would be very similar to several of the standard Celebrity models in terms of neck, bowl and sound…

But the general consensus is that if you can get USA for the same price as a Celebrity, you get USA.

I saw them at NAMM ... the artwork may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it is art after all. If Chu is young and hip, there's nothing wrong with the DJA guitars at all. I believe they would play and sound like the iDea guitar, also made in China, which we've all agreed is a decent entry level guitar given the money. Sounds better than it has a right to. The necks are thin and fast. I say go for it.
