I hope everyone has a safe and happy Memorial day weekend.

While you're out there having fun, take a moment to remember those who gave us the freedoms we enjoy today.

Amen to that Mike! What's everybody doing? I'm just going to stay around the house and char some meat. (maybe get to play a little guitar) Have to play drums at Church Sat. night and Sunday morning but that's about all on my agenda.

Besides the usual weekend gig and chores, I'll be riding point on a wedge the leads the citizen and pro Bolder Boulder 10k road race. This event is huge and the goodies are sweet, plus it gives our motorcycle club some positive exposure. However, getting up at 4:30 a.m. on a holiday is the pits.

Up to the cabin tonight to see what damage the winter did and trying to dewinterize the boat. Skipping the hillclimb portion of the annual Porsche Bogus Basin Bachanalia tomorrow. I guess I'm getting old when I'd prefer to relax in the woods over risking my life and car for a $5 trophy.
Sunday back down to the valley for a Porsche rally.
Monday golf somewhere. Somewhere in there I need to change a bunch of guitar strings. I've got a Taylor guy visiting next week and I don't want to have the dead strings on.

Saturday: Front yard landscaping and back yard garden work. Stanley Cup Finals in the evening.

Sunday: Thanksgiving type turkey dinner with some friends. You're all included in that category so stop on by.

Monday: An offical "Take It Easy" day with some time spent thinking about the meaning behind the day off.

I'll be running the store like on any other day. This is a tourist town, and there are a lot of them here already. Last year I did really well in sales, and with the economy the way it is, I can't afford to miss any potential customers. I WILL be taking the 4th of July off though. There is so much going on here that day, from the community picnic, to the demolition derby, the duck race down Fall River, and of course the best fireworks display ever. I look forward to it, because it's the only day off I will get between now and October. Sure is a good thing I love what I'm doing!

Oh, please don't remind me! That's the next major project...

Would ya want to duplicate your efforts down here during the 'sultry' season?

Good luck!

Me picking the GF. Then off to pick
up my new Browning BPS 16 gauge shotgun.

(my 15 day cooling off period ends monday, ironivally if I was a hunter I could have taken it home on May 11th. Since I plan to kill nothing but clay targets I have to wait. 26 year of responciable gun ownership plus a clean arrest history check isn;t enough for CT.)

Dropping it off at home.

Then off to a BBQ sponcered by Mikes Arena

Playin as much guitar as my wrists will allow. I'm thinking I may drag out the recording equipment and goof around some too.

Next weekend is my big one. 8ft from Geddy Lee's nose.

You guys just reminded me I have to refinish the front door. Who started this anyway? Pretty soon SWMBO is going to start leaving me honey-do lists on this forum.

Tomorrow I should get to play my new Std Elite LX sometime before noon. I'll char some meat as well over the weekend, work in the yard a bit, and change the oil and adjust the valve clearance on my bike. The rest of the time will be spent playing more guitar. :)

Today I put indoor/Outdoor carpet in our new screen room. Assembled patio furniture that has been in the garage for a month (waiting for the screen room). Work tomorrow and Monday. Sunday afternoon I will pick a little guitar while sitting in the screen room.
