Also... Was there a big demand to put the stacked knob on the Side again?

My jacket will often brush up against the volume knob on an OP-Pro...
I am sure the knob up on the bout under my arm would have similar problems.

Fender has no business making acoustics of any kind. They proved that over the last 50 plus years. Their acoustics suck. Let's hope they don't mess up the American made Ovations. I truly believe the pre-Fender O's and A's will be worth a lot more than their descendants. Just like pre-CBS Fenders are worth a lot more than those produced after they took over.

New one looks like an example of "design by committee". Had my share of designs turn hideous when subjected to clients like that. After awhile you just get tired of trying to save them from themselves.

...unless they are planning on doing away with the bowl.
careful, don't give 'em any ideas!

The new logo and typeface is very reminiscent of the logo/typeface used on the Ultra GP along with all of the ads done during the hard body days of the late 80's. Old is new again.

I had an 83 Country Artist cutaway (man was the wood on that beautiful) and it had the stacked knobs at the waist. Whenever I had that guitar on a strap, the knobs dug into my rib cage. If I had kept the guitar, I would have sent it to the factory for modern electronics.

The stacked knobs at the waist suck.....

Something I have wondered is why Glen wasn't touring with one of the 1627ltds. LOL, maybe he isn't as nostalgic as I...The only "acoustic" he played when I saw him was the viper. It just seems that it would be a nice way to bookend his career.

I suspect that it's easy for Glen to go back and forth from the G&L to the Viper to the Hamer 12 (if he's still playing that)....
