Location: London | Can anyone help me with the value of a 1978 Artist 1121 - shallow back in mint condition in original Ovation case. Not a mark on this guitar.I can accept value in US Dollars. Thanks in advance. |

| In 1978 your Artist retailed for $425...

Location: London | Thanks Steve. I thought I paid more than that when I bought it in San Francisco in 78. Has it not gone up with age? |

| My personal opinion is it's extremely valuable, especially since that specific style/model was discontinued by Ovation...I am old-school when it comes to the early years...so if you have a MINT Ovation Artist you have a unique guitar and it's worth substantially more. My second Ovation was an Artist, then the Campbell Artist, then another one, then another one, etc.,etc....

Location: SoCal | Unfortunately, while it's a good guitar, it's not worth much more than you paid for it. Very few guitars actually hold their retail value. |
