I read this off of Ebay and I thought I'd pass it along:
"My beloved 1982 Deep bowl Ovation Custom Balladeer model 1812 electric /acoustic has been damaged beyond repair in a freak accident, and the houshold contents insurance wont cover it. I need a replacement as it is my most favourite guitar in the whole world!! It's been re-fretted twice!! I have a wad of cash waiting to pay for a replacement, so if you have one of these for sale get in touch. I will need a picture and the serial number to check it out on the Ovation database. Cheers Chris"

Ebay Reverse Ad

I believe what he has is actually a 1612 - must be grief!

Wow, I didn't know I could post a 'wanted' add on ebay...of course that makes it a 'sellers market' for sure...

Sent the gentleman an e-mail regarding "beyond repair", and referred him to The Mothership. Also, that particular estimation of "total loss" depends on who's holding the yardstick; The "O"rphanage just keeps gettin' bigger!
