A little bit off topic, but I have a nearly new VIOLA that I'd like to sell. I mention this because it would be a great xmas gift. I'll get some pictures together. Basically here's the story.

I bought this viola, case, bow, etc. etc. the whole she-bang brand new about 1.5 years ago. It's a full 4/4 size. It was one of those package deals on ebay. I think the brand is Palantino. Not great, but a good sold kit to get me started. I paid $195. fo the whole deal.

I get it and enroll in lessons. The first thing the teacher tells me is that my brand new viola needs a "set up". So I take it to the shop of a $45 setup. BUT, it can't be setup without a new/better bridge and sound post (another $80). Plus the bow is kind of "weak" so I need a new $40 bow.

Anyway, so I'm into this thing for about $450. but at least I finally have a nice instrument which is properly setup and really sounds pretty nice (when my teacher plays it). I struggle for about 6 months taking lessons and finally throw in the towel. The viola sits in it's case ever since then.

So, I need to get this into the hands of someone who will use it. Condition is brand new (not a mark on it). Actually WAY BETTER than brand new because of the upgrades and setup I had done. Would make a great xmas gift for someone. I'd like $250. for the whole package and that includes FedEx shipping to your door in the US and gaurenteed delivery in time for xmas. If interested please let me know ASAP. I'm leaving for Europe on Sunday and have to ship it either before I go, or worst case case I can ship it on monday 12/20, you get it wednesday 12/22.

I also have 4 brand new condition books (Level II) that I'll throw in the case. One is a cool fiddle book with (un-opened) play along CD with it.

Dave

generally on e bay a viola in student quality does not bring too much money. As an expert in viola prices I can predict that you will get a much lower price then advertised. probably in the 50 buck range. Your best bet would be to donate it to a music school.

Don't you just hate the price police?
hope I made my point.

Tell Witko is a uke! He'll spend some serious money on it. Especially if you paint palm trees on it!

Hey, I'm working on sleep deprivation here. Cut me some slack.

But buy it from him, paint some palm trees on it, and the word uke somewhere and sell it back to him. Should be able to double your investment.
