Location: Pacific Northwest Inland Empire | On a tenuously related issue, is the bowl on an 1114 Folklore a bit deeper than standard? As my critters are lining up on my wall, the 1114 is deeper than both the 1111 & 1712. Shorter, but fatter (may get a namechange to something like "Arbuckle"- get it?) |

Location: Phoenix AZ | Look for an old 1114 or 1614 Folklore. You can get them for about $400-500 on ebay pretty regularly. Nice instruments for the money. If you want to really impress yourself look for an FD14 (Folklore Deluxe). They are rare, only 50 made, but are drop dead stunning acoustically. One of Ovations best efforts ever. |

Jump on the 1614, currently being auctioned at EBAY. Get it fixed, and you'll be happy! |

Location: Pacific Northwest Inland Empire | OOPS! Sorry, the auction closed on Sunday. Anyway, take Dave's advice, and look for an 1114, or 1614. I just put a preamp in my 1114, because I didn't expect to find a 1614 very soon. |

| Thanks Chris. i saw the one in ebay but didn't approve the condition. I want an intact one, if you know what I mean. it doesn't matter if it's pure acoustic or ac/el. i want it in good condition though. well....still looking...
thanks again,
g.n. |

Location: Pacific Northwest Inland Empire | Yeah, well, I had to fix the neck angle on mine, in order to get a 12-fret-wide-neck. I will be part of "The Posse" that tracks down one of these critters for you.
Good luck! |

Location: 6 String Ranch | the deep bowls should all be the same. There may be a little variation but it should not significant. |

Location: Pacific Northwest Inland Empire | Thanks, Bill. Looks to be about 3/8". Sure has a nice voice, too. Wish I could do justice to its potential. Practice, practice, practice........ |
