| The one in eBay ended at $5K....where did the "$8000 or more go"? |

A no-reserve auction with an implied reserve that took a big jump half way through. Agreeing to sell to at least one person and then backing out. It just kind of leaves a bad taste and nervousness when dealing with this kind of money.
After all, though it's a nice guitar, it's still just a damn guitar and he who dies with the most toys is still...dead.

I won the guitar for 5K.
Now, he emailed days ago saying that he had an offer for 8K and won't sell for less but that he will let the auction finish.
Now, what? I am waiting to see what happens now after it has ended.
It will be unfair and out of ebay rules if he sells it outside of ebay and blows me off, and I hope he does not sell it to an OFC member.

Congratulations on winning, my apologies on the ensuing custody battle.
Are there any Texans in the neighborhood that know a good Repo man?
It isn't over yet. |

Location: Phoenix AZ | Hope this all works out for the winner. I bailed at 4500. figuring that 1) it's not my favorite color (not that that matter so much), but also the chances of actually getting the guitar into my hands without getting ripped off was somewhat concerning. hector emailed that he had offers for $6500, 6800, 7200 and 8000. So I'm not sure what he will actually do. As for me? Well, now that I have by default got my wifes approval for 4500. just think of all the possibilities. Although she does have her eye on new granite countertops (far more than 4500.). Or an adamas ukulele ??? Good luck. |
