Al, Tony's being silly. Wouldn't take years to test out the guitars. No more than 18 months.

Tony can be Al's west coast distributor. Sounds like Tony already has quite a bit of inventory hanging on the walls in his office. Al could cover the nation and conquer the world!

standingO,
Are you including the country artist, that lived in SF, then into your hands, then to VA, and then to nyc? in the 16? or in the OFC group?

There's thousands of Country Artists. Different guitar than the FD-14.

LOL. Oops Misunderstood. sorry standing o. that would be pretty funny though if you sold every ca. (Like you sold every FD) I'm afraid when I walk home I'll start chuckling at my airhead self and someone will notice. When I notice I'm laughing at myself, that makes it worse. Oh well.

I'm kind of late coming into this discussion. I found it very interesting that there were only 50 made. Was that the only production run, or was that for one particular run?

I decided, after many months of deliberation, that a Folklore was just what I needed. So I ordered one in June. I was told there was a 90 day delivery, but it's now awfully close to four months, and there's still no word on its delivery. Kind of frustrating.

I also splurged a little. I asked for a pre-amp upgrade, from the OP40 to the OP50, in order to get the XLR output.

Your Folklore should be a great guitar. It's quite a bit different however than the Folkore Deluxe (model FD-14). FD-14 was a limited single run of 50 instruments. That's all, no more. Of these half went overseas. Major differences from the regular Folklore are different top (ceder), different bowl (deep noncutaway), different neck (12 fret 1-3/4 inch), different electronics (direct out), different binding (tortoise), different rosette (tortoise), different bracing, different inlays. Basically the fret wire, strings and tuning keys are the same.

M-P,

I've decided to let my FD-14 Folklore Deluxe fly the nest too. As much as I love the guitar, I think it would be appreciated by a true guitarist as I'm just a strummer.

GG :)
