Hey Kids,
I am selling one of my 1537-4's. This guitar looks, sounds and plays beautifully. It is all original and an early serial number.
It is not mint, but in excellent condition. There are three very hard to see hairline finish cracks. They do not follow the grain. I did manage to capture (only from really odd angles) them in the photos accurately. One extends down from the end of the fretboard about 4inches, another, an inch and a half from behind bridge at the high E, a third fingernail in size and shape just above low "E" toward the fret board. Other than the above described, the soundboard and binding are flawless and have aged to a rich honey color. The back is flawless.

The 24k machines, headstock, neck and frets are in excellent condition. The action is low and fast, no string buzz. There is minor play ware on the fretboard at the first three frets, but this is VERY MINOR and ordinary for a twenty year old guitar that has been played.

The OP mono/stereo electronics are perfect. OHSC.

This guitar will not be sold on Ebay or the like. I am only going to offer it to OFC members and friends.

$1000 firm- includes shipping to the lower forty eight. All other destinations, shipping at cost TBD.

Hey Jeff,
That link doesn't appear to go to any pics.

Can you post some in the member's gallery to look at?

Well actually, I just recently bought Tony's extra 1537 so I am not currently in the market for another one.

Awesome playing and sounding guitar tho. I just wanted to make sure that others could view it.

I will be shocked if it lasts through the weekend!

Thanks for letting me know you couldn't view the pics, Stephen.

I went ahead and emailed some pics to you...before I read your last post...

I was wondering if you were wantin' two 1537's, I kept track of the fate of Tony's, now your 1537.

Lovely exactly what I've been looking for unfortunately am committed to other deals.

figures this one would show up now...

would you take a 20 year old stepdaughter in trade? psycho but cute...things even out.
(JK Char!) :p

should go pretty quick. I feel it's worth the price...would pay it if I had it.. but you know mortgage, lights, phone, and the wonderful post-hurricane economy here.(plus 2 other recent gas attacks)

good luck! maybe in two or three weeks for me..

the search continues.

Glenn

Hi Jeff! I'm really tempted too! You don't see these 1537's very often. I have the 12 string version of this same guitar (the 1538) and really like it. It would be nice to have its sibling, but alas, its that whole money thing! Somebody's going to get a great guitar, though.

Hey Rtmoose,

How about I buy that 12 string from you so that you can grab Jeff's 1537 :D :D :D

I am keeping track of the possible trades ...so far a cute handful of twentysomething and a 1538 twelve string. I wonder which is really more a handful.
