Location: SoCal | Hi Techno, Welcome back!
You're the guy who really wanted that guitar when it went up on eBay at the beginning of the month.
Everyone was really hoping that you'd get over that $25 and just buy it.
IMHO I would just call Al and see what he can do for you.
Check out the bidders of the current auction and the original auction (Item number: 3780235444).
Then look at this auction from the same Seller (Item number: 5941303017).
Something looks funny to me.
There is a bidder that bids just enough to beat the current bid, but never enough to win.
I usually stay clear of eBay auctions when I see stuff like this. |

Location: SoCal | We covered Mr.bartsun(1) and his bidding on the three auctions of this Seller in a General thread that Technopicker started a few days ago.
Technopicker must have deleted his initial post and his General thread ("It's Back") disappeared.
The link to this last auction is up top, I have the links to the other two auctions in my post above.
Techno did the same thing the first time he brought this Seller's auction to our attention. The thread he started, that went on even after the auction ended, disappeared. The disappearance was discussed in yet a different thread.
You know, I think Techno became an OFC Member the day that guitar first went up for auction. |

Location: Central FL | Some of you folks really need to get a grip on reality and stop being so cynical for no real reason. The auction ended before I had a chance to bid again...thats all! I also refuse to pay $850 for this guitar because I have a budget! I originally looked here for some insight to Ovation guitars being sold on Ebay...The guy selling this guitar emailed me and has lowered the price....but after recently analyzing there acoustic tone and playing several I feel they aren't for me. I'm sticking with all wooden guitars... Ovations are a bit too 80's for me...even the LX's don't cut it. Anyway you Ovations fans need to lighten up a bit.
Later and best wishes.. ;) |

"lighten up"... Ovation fans are as loose as can be...
Just calling it how I see it... it all boils down to IP addresses.
Sure looks to me like there was shill bidding on three of the Sellers auctions. Check it out.
The seller emailed me yesterday asking $850. |

Techno... Please get on eBay and send me an email telling me I'm wrong. I will extend to you my deepest apology and send you a brand new copy of the Ovation Book. |
