Hello

I am sad to have to post this but i unfortunately need to sell my GP.

It is in excellent condition. Everything is stock, except the tone and volume knobs, but they are in the case.

Take a look
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=2384&item=73...

The nicest guitar i have ever played. I am truly sad to have to see her go, but hopefully someone here can give her a good home.

Why are Ultra GPs worth so much more than the GS? I agree the GPs look better to me, since I like the Les Paul look better than the Strat look and I like the Ovation head, but my GS cost $100 more than this GP when they were new and this is 10 times more than what I just paid for mine (and I thought I paid too much.)

The GP is kind of a "cult" guitar right now and that has driven prices sky high. I just paid $1500. for one, which is actually on the low end. In time the fad will cease and they will be selling for $500. again. Any one who doesn't give a darn about the cult would buy a Hamer instead. Dave

So why did you just drop 15 bills?
Didn't realize you were a "cult" member ;)

So, let's start a GS cult and I'll sell mine to the first guy that pays $1500.

well, the gs is a good guitar but not as good as the ukII or U-GP. so I think it'll be hard to raise the price of the gs to astronomic 1500 bucks ;)

And my wife thinks I'm crazy for buying 3 Ovations and 2 amps in the last 4 months. We were talking to some old friends last night and I got him to tell my wife what he paid for his Taylor--$2400. I think that just got me a green light for a couple more O's.

Jenny is highly recommended. Oh, the ukulele you mean? Seriously, this is close to my favorite ukulele and huge bang for the buck. It's a slight step below a nice koa Kamaka or even a mahog Martin but it's still super nice sounding. The concert size is my favorite (I have sopranos and tenors also). They run about 1/2 the price of Kamaka. Only criticism is the tuners are pretty cheap. I've upgraded to some nice Grovers since this photo was taken. I've got an ovation thinline uke pickup that will also soon be installed. If you are looking for a nice ukulele, I highly recommend Jenny. Plus you get a free poster with it. Those who have seen it at my house are pretty "excited". I think.

So how's THAT for a job well done - I've taken this thread from Ultra GP's to posters of hawaiian girls in bikinis. Dave

Latest Elderly's has them for about a 1/3 of the price of the Kamaka.

Kamaka concert - $630
Bushman concert - $237

Oppps, that Bushman price was for a Brazilian Mahogany body. I am sure the Koa is more.

I don't think the Bushman comes in Koa. That one for $237. is the one I have. Great ukulele for the money. The Kamaka is Koa, that's for sure. And it sounds like it. Dave
