Location: Norman, OK | Need some sage advise from this forum. I just found this on e-bay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7336646005&categ...
The 1984 is at the top of my short list, but this one looks a bit rough. Looks like a fair amount of "finger jam" or wear on the fret board, and a pretty good dent on the top. Also did the 1984's come with black tuner knobs? all the ones I've seen before were gold. Has anyone here ever bought from Easy Cash Pawn before? Also I know this is pretty subjective but what would a fair price be in this condition?
Thanks for your help,

I am a little unsure about buying a guitar from a store in Africa, but I have actually been talking with Jay at Emerald City, in fact I missed out on this very guitar back in May, before I registered on the OFC. Apparently the deal he had with someone in Australia fell through. I am working with him now to see if we can come to an agreement on price. His is definitly in better shape. Disregard my comment on the black tuners, I had the angel step on my mind again.
Appreciate your input,
Still curious on a ballpark figure for the one on E-bay at Easy Cash Pawn. I think Orion BB would be below $400

Location: Norman, OK | Just put my new 1984 baby to bed after a long hard day. UPS delivered her this morning and it was all I could do to stay at work. My 5 year old son was home sick today and he actually got to play her first before I got home. The E-bay description was pretty accurate with only one minor nick on the face, which I hid with a little walnut stain. I sanded off the fingerjam with some ultra fine steel wool and with a little carnuba wax the ebony fretboard is now beautiful. Plays like a dream, has a bit more bass response than my 1868 elite, but pretty similar all in all. Haven't decided if I need to lower the action yet, it's just a bit higher than my 1868, but not really that noticeable.
Thanks to all who provided advise, and particular thanks to Stephen. Your "Love one woman, many guitars" picture was the coup de' etat in my sales pitch to my wife for another guitar!
Oh wait....I think I hear her calling me, better go comfort her for a while....
Cheers,
