Whoever has played any 2 or all 3 of these guitars, I would like to hear your opinions comparing one against the other.

Custom Legend vs. Custom Elite -- not a dramatic difference in sound --personal preference

Adamas -- different animal altogether.

I've played different versions of them all, and it is well to note that there are different bowl depths for each. I'll take a shallow bowl Custom Legend or Custom Elite over a shallow bowl Adamas, though. There weren't many of the latter made, for good reason. I think the shallow bowl simply doesn't generate the right kind of sound to get the graphite top moving.

I play shallow bowl guitars live (blush....), so that is my primary comparison.

Ok,

Mid bowl CL are the rarest birds on the planet. You find more walking Trex's then these. LOL. The one midbowl I tried was very very bright even with medium guage strings I put on. Unplugged and plugged I couldn't eq out the brightness. Sent it back.

Shallow bowl CL..unplugged..well thin as to be expected and plugged in...still kind of bright.

Optima preamps. In both cases my S771 with op24+ had more bass, mids and tonal changes galore.

Adamas CVT. Could have bought one for like $700 ou t the door at GC. If it was the blue one I would have just cause it was blue. LOL. It did have dead strings like any GC guitar but head to head with an LX with dead strings and even an S771 the Adamas didn't have as much volume(probably the tiny soundholes) and it was mellower.

Plugged in(with an Optima of all things) sounded fine..tons of tonal variations unlike the same preamp on 2 different CL's.

I haven't played an elite.

Now I did play a CL LX at the factory tour if I recall and it sounded fantastic...even better than a regular lx(could be blinded silly by abalone though..LOL.)

My friend won the Adamas 1???reissue at the tour. Deep bowl. A fantastic sounding guitar period. Blows away all stated above.

Now my 05 collectors head to head with his new Adamas the 05 is louder and even sounds more acoustic guitar like plugged in than the Adamas. Same strings, same amp, same preamp.

So, really, I think you couldn't go wrong with a CL lx and if you spend the extra dough for the contoured bowl this summer(unless you WANT) the Ovation bowl tilt standing up....that is the sweet spot guitar.
