The seller just bought this one for $760:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Ovation-Elite-1537-Acoustic-Stereo-Electric-Gui...

It appears that he wants one without any cracks.

Bummer when you ship a vintage guitar in the winter.

Laquer cracks don't affect the sound.

Anything under $900 for a 1537 is a killer deal!

FD14 is probably the best sounding "O" that I have.

Is it better than the 1537? Depends on what type of sound you are looking for. The FD14 has a more wooden tradional sound than the 1537.

Can you see the cracks? How does this guy buy it off ebay on Friday, get it from Seattle to Denmark by Sunday and list in on ebay. I couldn't see the cracks in these pictures or the ones Noah sent me from the seller in Seattle. I know my eyes are bad.

If it were me, I'd wait until I had delivery of the one with no cracks and fully compare both guitars before I sold the other.
