Apparently selling a near-mint Preacher. I looked at his other items and didn't see an LX.

Oops. My Copy/Paste didn't work. The first link was left over from a message I sent earlier today. Here's the real one.

I emailed the seller. It's a 1863LX shallow bowl classical. Dave

Well that might explain why the original buyer did not follow thru on the payment. I see the seller left neg feedback for him. That's not very nice.

That makes sense, (the 1863LX) because when I emailed him, he told me it was an 8863LX, which kind of puzzled me. He actually emailed that to me twice, but it must have been a typo. What do you guys think about this guitar, my BS light was glowing pretty bright as I read his ad, (cash, MO, or Western Union only). Any thoughts?

I noticed that he states that the product will not ship until two weeks *after* payment has been *received*. That bothers me.

Right, Cruster -- and he said he'd already paid for it when the last buyer backed out. So, he should have it in hand (not sure how a small-timer goes about ordering new Ovations in the first place).

Pokeypup, since the seller negged the buyer, I wonder why the buyer hasn't replied, or negged the seller.

I noticed that too, Ed. Very interesting....Hmmm

I also did not like the 2 weeks wait for shipment.

I just got another email from the guy, I had asked if it was steel or nylon string, just to see what he said. He again said that it's a model 8863LX ????? and that it was a steel string ???? The 1863 is a nylon string classical isn't it? I don't think he actually has the guitar there, and is kind of making stuff up.

I tend to be a very trusting person, but even at $500. this just has too many red flags written all over it ...
