Joined: November 2005 Posts: 9 | Hello all! Two weeks ago I posted a thread showing my two Ovation solid body guitars, the Preacher and the Viper III. Well sadly I have decided to sell the Viper III. It was an impulse buy and I really have no need for two guitars. I purchased a new ring for my wife for Chrismas and would rather put the money I spent on the Viper towards that. I don't play in a band so as I said, I really only need one guitar. This is a great opportunity for someone here. I would like to sell it here because I know it will be truly loved by it's new owner. The serial number is E 16580. It is in near mint condition! The head stock has a few very minor surface scratches from where the previous owner had scratched it stringing the guitar, as well as a a slight wearing at the top of the head stock. There is also a tiny pin hole in the center of the truss rod cover. These are very very minor cosmetic blemishes. The rest of the guitar is in perfect shape. All original, electronics work great, and this guitar sounds and plays amazingly! Nice action, straight neck, ebony fretboard, ringing tones. Very cool guitar indeed. I'm sure sure the new owner will fall in love with it. The case is in great shape as well, both inside and outside. Hardshell ovation. Will drag out of the closet and take pictures if requested. Seems to be a rare color for these. Please email me if interested. Thanks so much!

Joined: November 2005 Posts: 9 | I'm asking $650.00 plus shipping. I know it's a little more than what some are going for on ebay, but I feel this is a very nice example of this model. Some of the Preachers have been going for $600.00 - $800.00 online. I own both, and the Viper III is really no less of a guitar, although it is different. Very clear and bright compared to the Preacher which is very warm. The case is in excellent condition as well. I'll throw some pictures up tonight. I'm still hesitant about letting her go at all, which is why I haven't gone to ebay yet. I was asking $700.00, but $650.00 is what I'll let it go for. That's what it's worth to me. A new Fender Standard USA Stat goes for that much or more, and to me this is a much cooler guitar than a Fender strat. Tones of personality. Thanks to all for the interest.
