Tim in Tidewater stopped by early this afternoon and just left a few minutes ago: we really had a great time. We sang, we played, we admired each other's Adamas 12 strings, we took a few pictures, we ate some great Italian food prepared my wife and we shared some stories. We would have liked to have taken a few pictures outside but the weather wouldn't co-operate...but here is some of what we did get and even my 5 1/2 year old daughter took several (thats my son getting into the act).
12 String Thing \'08

Thanks for stopping by Tim! I enjoyed every minute. I'm already looking forward to our next visit.

Looks like a blast. I'm hoping a textured top 12 (or a 6 even) shows up at our gathering.

What a gathering of gits!!! Love that slothead...

BTW, what do you call a gathering of gits like that? Flock, herd, gaggle; maybe a 'stand' of guitars...?

Finally made it home...thanks to MM & family for having me over. I had great time and as Mike said, lots of pick'n & singing.

It was great to get four '88s together, each has their own voice. Only the '83 -7's have the same neck profile, the '89 -5 has a little more of the V and the '96 -8 has the pronounced Adamas V.
The AD-II's sounded great as well.

Can't wait to do it again...uno weeko Beggin :D

Mike could play a cardboard box with rubber bands as strings...hmmm, I remember seeing a picture like that somewhere. I would settle for Mike without his gits. ;)

I'll miss being there...but getting to spend time with my kids is something I have missed on Saturdays for the last three and a half years while I was in Seminary...and they love guitar music: just look at my son's face in the pic's above...
Just as a caption and list for the guitars in the pictures:
12 Strings:
1688-7 1983 - MusicMike
1188-7 1983 - Tim
1688-5 1988 - MusicMike
1688-8 1996 - Tim
1685-8 1983 - MusicMike
1885-5 1994(?) - Tim

1687-7 - 1981 - MusicMike
1187-247 - 2006 - MusicMike

It would have been cool to have all of Tim's and my 12's out but felt the Adamii alone would suffice.

Have a great weekend all...Play your Ovations/Adamas...

Enjoy and Celebrate Life!
