In keeping the tradition of the "1-in-1-out" rule, there is now an extra Acoustic-Electric Counrty Artist #1624-4 (1981-#227783) being offered to the OFC family!

Ovation Country Artist Spec\' Page

It has been very well cared for, with almost none of the typical vintage issues...I said almost:

There are NO finish cracks near the bridge, towards the endpin - but rather two very small (1") finish cracks (NOT wood) @ 11 & 1 o'clock on the soundhole (photos available).

There are 3 places where there is slight damage to the finish at the edge (over the binding) where it's suffered a slight "whoops!"...none of which will show up in photos.

This has the highly sought after 1 & 7/8" Wide Neck (like the Folklore!) and is a finger-pickers dream-come-true! There is virturally no wear to the frets and fretboard, and only very slight finish wear on the upper edge of the headstock (photos upon request).

The electronics check out very nicely (vintage, single-knob FET), warm and mellow, yet crisp and bright! Hmm, sounds like a soft-drink or somethin'...

Guitar comes with a very sturdy, vintage hardshell (not Ovation) case (not cheap chipboard) that fits this bowl very nicely.

My OFC pricetag is $375 plus S&H, which I believe to be a very nice deal (having 30+ years horse-trading Ovations)...rather keep it in the family than hawk it on the 'Bay!

Additional details and photos upon request (send me your e-mail address!) and feel free to check my 100% feedback @ eBay (MisterGolf007)...Mahalos 2 Y'allos~

p.s. Trades may be entertained as well! !Gracias, Amigos!

Matrix, if you haven't already, check out the recent threads on 1624s. I got one a couple weeks ago for $350, but it's a 73 and has a few more issues.
Originally, I was disappointed, but I have grown to like the guitar. It is best plugged in for fingerpicking. Watching Glen Campbell play Classical Gas on a 1624 convinced me that the guitar was capable of doing a lot more than I was.

Mark, I constantly have the feeling that my guitars know how to do things they're not telling me about. I don't blame them, I'm just unable to communicate up at thier level. Like a bird trying to teach a rock how to sing.

Kind of like having someone in an old Datsun blow my Porsche doors off in an autocross. I didn't run out and trade the Boxster in on an old Datsun. I realize that it's the driver, not the car.

If these bums don't buy your guitar you should lay some heavy convincing on me next time we meet! I would like to have a nylon strung.

Mike, correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't you already have one that you sold?

Not that I'll hold it against you. :D

Hey, if these folks don't snag this one up, I'm gonna turn 'em into the GAS Police and have them cited for a right-hand, failure-to-buy infraction!

Seriously, this one is gonna make someone a real nice addition to the Harem...and besides - I hear chicks really dig a good lovesong played on a nylon string guitar...I guess that makes this guitar a "babe magnet"! Snagitwhileyoucan~
