Location: big island | last year i purchased a brand new W597 cobalt blue for $1550 including shipping. one of the very best sounding guitars plugged in. it had the OP-50 electronics. i eventually sold it to someone in the UK as the guitar did not put out enough volume for my occasional acoustic gigs. i've seen the earlier models like you are looking at here go for a hundred less than the starting price of this auction and up to $1100 depending on condition and including the OHSC. this starting price of $900 would be a good buy. personally, i wouldn't spend any more than that on one. |

Location: big island | the cobalt blue is a great color, IMO, and quite the "chameleon"! |

Location: Boise, Idaho | Take a look at some of the FRGs or blems Al has. Some of his Adamas guitars are real bargains if you don't mind a blem in the finish. |

How to say this delicately?
I must say I'm not a huge fan of the sunburst look on guitars, not even the blues/browns sunbursts on some of the Adamas.
There I've said it!
I do like the solid cobolt blue on the W597 though, I think thats my Adamas of choice, so I'll be waiting for one to appear 2nd hand...
I appreciate it not just about looks but tone etc but given the choice I'd rather get one I like the look of. I mean look...
So if anyone hears of one please let me know, thanks.
*STILL* waiting for my 1537 to clear customs - argh! |
