Mike, Your current collection has been significantly expanded upon over the past year. You have some real beauties! Got a favorite? I got to thinking about this again this morning when I saw that this is my 1948th post. Of course, being able to get this fine 1948 D-28 was definatly a once in a lifetime event. To live near Wayne Henderson so it could be brought back to life is also incredible. This is quite a wonderful guitar and to see its repair and restoration and to know that I was able to be a part in putting a piece of our world's musical history back from oblivion is special indeed. to say it plays and sounds great is an understatement: but it certianly does! My favorite Brad? Well, this is certainly one of them!
That's Wayne Henderson, Me, Don Wilson, and the '48 Martin D-28.
I'll bring this to the next gathering/tour that I am able to attend so everyone can see, hear, and play it for themselves. |
