Dear guys.

Probably one for the UK/Europe audience here, but my local music shop has two absolutely beautiful specimens available. Technically new guitars, although I did see some dude called Matt Smith play these very instruments at a Chop Shop last year. I've had a word with the shop (authorised O Dealer, please note!), and mentioned that I'd put them up here on the board to open them up to a wider audience.

First up is an Adamas, in black CVT. Has the OP50 pre-amp, hard case included. Priced at GBP1,199.

Second is a Custom Legend 30th Anniversary, you know the guitar. OP-Pro pre-amp, hard case included. Priced at GBP1,399.

Believe me, if I had the funds, space, and wasn't trying to move house, I would have one/both these like a shot. Whilst the CL is a little bit bling for my taste, the Adamas (if you've never seen the CVT in real life) is stunning.

Naturally, those prices DO NOT INCLUDE shipping!

Any questions or picture requests, please drop me a line, and I'll pass on your details to the dudes in the shop. Both very good personal friends of mine, incidentally, who I tend to frequent bands with...

Thanks for looking. Do me a favour - please remove these guitars from the Island before I'm forced to re-visit GAS-Anon.

In view of the "bumping" thread, I'd just like to state that this is not a bump - it's just to re-highlight the facts contained within my initial post to any individual who may be interested in the contents therein.

All responsibility is accepted by my other 'Barefacedly-Unashamed Multiple Personality'.

Cheers, dudes.

Are they cheap because you guys only pay 1% income tax?

Why haven't you sold the flat yet? Is it haunted? Do you have strange pictures on the walls? Is your dog still greeting visitors in that intimate fashion? Is your ma charging you rent for those guitars yet?

We need to know.

What's income tax? ;)

Haven't really been trying very hard to sell, to be honest - have been tied up with rehearsals and shows for the last 12 months.

However, the whole house-move thing is now not happening for a while. The cause? A small car-meets-wall incident on the way home from a gig on Sunday night/Monday morning.

I say small: the result was a big hole in a hedge, my car being about 2ft shorter than 24 hours earlier, and what used to be the front of what used to be my car splattered all over the road. My unprofessional observation of my car says "write off", and I don't think I could be that wrong. Just for the record, my blood/alcohol level was zero. The officer nearly asked for a recount!

Basic version of events is: drivey-drivey, slidey-slidey, swervy-swervy, sweary-sweary, hedgey-hedgey, bangy-bangy, spinny-spinny, sweary-sweary (again), moby-moby phone call, blue lights flashy-flashy...

Somehow, I only have three scratches and a slight friction burn from the airbag on my right arm, and that's it.

Went to see car last night, just to get a few bits out of it. I hadn't realised quite how lucky I was. Front drivers wheel is about 2ft further back than it should be, engine is 2ft further forward and 1ft further left than it should be. There's nothing left of the front bumper/radiator/fan or the drivers side wing, passenger wing is a very bizarre shape indeed (bit like an alien's head from Star Trek)... somehow, there's not a scratch on the rest of the car, though. It's twisted like a twisty thing, as the boot no longer shuts, and I have no idea how I opened the drivers door to get out in a hurry, as it didn't move at all last night when I pulled it - had to scrabble about through passenger door.

It's very messy. I had all the PA, brand new guitar amp and associated rubbish in the back, too. I think that did me a favour, as it must have stopped me from flipping when I hit the wall. Also, it all shunted forwards, which pushed the back of the drivers seat forward, which I think has stopped any major whiplash going on.

Final score: Other people involved=0, other living things injured or in other way harmed (including self)=0, Guitars injured=0.

So, I may have the whole guitar family moving back in for a few months...

Which brings me back on topic - I SO can't afford the Adamas above now, so someone please take it...

Wow. Good that you're okay.

Too bad they don't make a car like they make the Adamas. You'd've been fine.

I am not adopting jb.

That slidey-slidey, swervy-swervy thing is worthy of a Nobel Prize For Literature. Don't like to nit-pick, but the fact that you were sober doesn't mean it wasn't your fault. And the fact that you were sober is a sad reflection on the state of rockabilly in the land of no tails and three legs.

Darn, another potential family lost!

Definitely my fault, as there was no-one else around, conditions were dry and clear, car was in good order, etc etc. Maybe I could blame the unusual circumstances I've listed there? Will see what comes of the whole thing.

Don't touch the drink stuff during TT fortnight (just finished) as you need as many wits about you as you have with all the bikes around. Clearly not enough wits here, though.

Important thing (from my point ofview anyway) is that I'm all still fine, and my minimal bruising is sorting itself.
