Hey Gang,
I am selling my Grandfather’s Tobacco Sunburst Ovation Legend Model 1117-1 six string. The serial on the label inside is: 102433. Its American made and has a silver plaque on the inside. It has some minor wear on the back and a hairline crack near the bridge. If you think you might be interested, please feel free to drop me an e-mail. My e-mail address is: Mogurchak@gmail.com

The 1117 is the acoustic Legend, the 1119 is the acoustic Custom Legend...Custom Legend is AAA spruce, A brace. May be an error but the archive of OvationGuitars shows the 1117 also as AAA, A brace. Always thought the 1117 was AA spruce with ? bracing.

A deep bowl Custom Legend...beautiful in appearance, wonderful voice. Dark sunburst w/abalone is a great combination.

086001-103000 serial places it as an early 1977 (Jan-Sept)

Thank you for the info... I do not know very much about guitars. I don't even know how to play it.

A brace Legend or VT brace Legend depends on the year. Dave

Croce was gone by 77, but it looks like his.

I've been trying to find out what happened to Jim's guitar after the plane crash. Someone wrote that it was on display at the Mothership; I emailed them and it is not. Where did it go? The History of Ovation book says his wife sent it back to them after the crash. ????

Oh, I see. No actually the food was kind of crappy. Last few times I've been downtown San Diego I've gone to "George's On 5th". Nice place. Dave
