Joined: June 2006 Posts: 4 | Hey Gang, I am selling my Grandfather’s Tobacco Sunburst Ovation Legend Model 1117-1 six string. The serial on the label inside is: 102433. Its American made and has a silver plaque on the inside. It has some minor wear on the back and a hairline crack near the bridge. Joined: August 2003 Posts: 4619 Location: SoCal | The 1117 is the acoustic Legend, the 1119 is the acoustic Custom Legend...Custom Legend is AAA spruce, A brace. May be an error but the archive of OvationGuitars shows the 1117 also as AAA, A brace. Always thought the 1117 was AA spruce with ? bracing. A deep bowl Custom Legend...beautiful in appearance, wonderful voice. Dark sunburst w/abalone is a great combination. 086001-103000 serial places it as an early 1977 (Jan-Sept) | ||

Someone wrote that it was on display at the Mothership; I emailed them and it is not. Where did it go? The History of Ovation book says his wife sent it back to them after the crash. ???? | ||
