I won't be able to outbid a guy named Kyussborn who has an history of buying/selling a bunch of expensive instruments. :/

i'm sorry to say shotti, that unless you're lucky (very lucky), you're looking at approx $3000.00 for a good condition GP
the last one to sell in europe sold for $4000.00.
1800.00 would be from someone in a yard sale.
good luck

First, i am really not knowledgable about Ovation solid-bodies. So, i'm not sure what the difference is between the GP and the GS, except that some recent day rocker (who i've never heard of, and probably don't want to hear) plays the GP.

But if a GS would do, Miles has a pile of them for sale. Check out his thread in this forum titled, "Collection Up For Sale".

GP = Guitar Paul
GS = Guitar Strat

i guess another way of looking at it might be: consider a vintage les paul custom. (in london aprox $3000.00 ... GP's were to compete with les paul customs, but cost a little more back in the day) then add the fact that there are only about 250-300 in the world and you have the current sales price....
for those of you who have not played one, they are nice regrdles of the new age rocker. '59 les pauls are worth/cost a fortune not only because jimmy page played, but also because they sound diffrent than a 60's and 70's model. it's all relative to how much money you have i guess.
but at the end of the day the sound is in the fingers. so in reality you can can only buy so much.
