I listed a 30th anniversary edition on ebay recently, and someone from the forum told me about it. I had never heard of it, and have been an ovation lover for 30 years at least. In any event, I am selling a recent acquisition after learning the hard way that my carpal tunnel and a deep bowl don't go well together. The URL is http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=001&item=110023385... Thanks to anyone interested. Del.

Hey Del,

Glad you found the site. Sweet guitar guys (based on the ebay pics). I am trying to convince him to take my W597 as trade, but my wife was not receptive to another acquisition after the last two.

You mean the NW OFC gathering didn't convince her that all the cool guys have lots of guitars?

That's why I didn't bring my wife. Actually, she had no real interest in coming and had to set up for my Mom's 80th birthday party. She did think the shirts were great, though.

you guy's think you have problems.

Boy did i get an earful of anti-gas ranting after Sheri saw the whole damn house filled with guitar cases. And here i thought it would work the other way. That being, after she saw some of the guys unload more guitars out of their cars than i own, there would be room for a few more in my future -- female logic, go figure.

Wow, I didn't mean to start a problem domestically! My wife tolerates the t-shirt a friend bought me: "Love one woman, and many guitars." I would point out she owns more blues harps than I do guitars, but she would probably bring up something irrelevant like the price difference! Del.

Del, you didn't start anything. This has been a recurrent theme since I've been on the board. I doubt I started it, but I may have. Greg, I thought that showing my wife that there were people way more nuts than me would help my cause, so I paid a visit to Dave, back in the good old days when he was Standing Ovation. She didn't even want to go in his house. When I showed her pictures, she was only impressed by the fact that he had "blue ones" and I didn't. I took that as permission to buy at least one Adamas, but I got sidetracked when I bought the Ute.
I thought the house full of guitar cases was almost as cool as the parking lots full of Porsches I saw the week before.

Look at it this way Del....anything to keep a thread at the top of the thread list. Kind of like "bumping" with an attitude.

I pointed out to my wife that my guitar collection is way cheaper than an italian sports car; way, WAY cheaper than a girlfriend - and I can play it in church. It didn't necessarily make her happy about it, but at least she put the gun up.

You know, she hasn't complained when I buy guitars, but she also never complains when I sell them either. I will use your logic though, it is very solid.

Congrats Del,

I need to get my W597 sold, so perhaps ebay is the next step. Seems to have worked for you.
