but it's new to me. We were at Animal Kingdom (Disney) today and one of the street bands lead man had one of these.



Called a "Zendrum" it's a midi controller that sounded great and seemed to be rather easy to use. here\'s the website

It's basically a purcussion trigger for midi sounds and samples. Think of it like a guitar synth except you hit it rather than pluck a string. Bela Fleck's synthguitar/percussionist pioneered this stuff 20-odd years ago.

I'll stay with my Cahon.

I guess it works much like my Roland electronic percussion setup, only in a much smaller package. Sounded good though
