This is a stock original 1967 Shiny Bowl Balladeer in excellent condition. But to be honest the real benefit of these old original series guitars is that the soundboard seems much more "vibrant", probably because of the X bracing, which is so much better than all that VT crap it's not even funny. This is one I never thought I would sell, but sadly it has sat unplayed for over 9 months. Needs a better home. Dave | ||

I love the understated soundhole rossette and the checking in the wood grain...The factory ought to buy that one back and put it on display for posterity! I'm sure that the RPI and cut at are the same but it was the Stock on Hand at Kaman. If I wasn't already tapped out on GAS releases I would love to have that one! | ||

Joined: January 2005 Posts: 4903 Location: Phoenix AZ | Woody is correct. The early wood stock from the copter guys was (?) 7" widths. That's why it took three pieces to make the guitar tops instead of the more traditional two. Dave | ||
