| Alright first off I'm not selling this, but I figured this would be the best place to put this, I have a 1980 something Ovation Matrix Model no 1132-4. It says special edition if that helps
I have no idea what that means, my dad said he bought it for 500 back in the day, so if anyone on the internet would know an approximation of the guitars value (used but not abused condition) I figured it would be here |

Location: ranson,wva | ive got 3 of them that i bought for under $100 each. the value depends on if the frets on the aluminium finger board are worn.(noth that some had a rosewood fingerboard). im not a expert on anything just passing info along ive found out with mine..some of the other members can better help you..jason |

The Matrix model was an early attempt at a discount product from Ovation. I have one, bought new in the late 1970's. May be the same model as yours.
As guitars, they are not well regarded. The aluminum neck/fingerboard thing did not catch on. Some Ovation guys like to have one just for the sake of completing a collection, but I wouldn't expect to get much for it. |

Location: ranson,wva | they make a damn nice slide guitar once the frets wear out..ive got 2 of them set up for slid and i dont even play slide!! ive got one i set up, new d'addario slide strings,new nut and saddle with a hard case thats going on ebay, if i get $100-$150 out of it im happy..jason |

Location: Boise, Idaho | Ditto. I keep mine for sentimental value, since my wife bought it for me as a wedding present. Mine is in near mint shape and I wouldn't expect it to be worth much more than $150. If the aluminum fretboard and frets are worn, there's not much worth doing with them. |

Location: ranson,wva | horray for me!! i fianly got something right!!! but in all reality the matrix was a fun guitar to tool around with. mine have gone under the knife several times. i put new tuners on the one im selling and had to drill new holes in the back of the headstock, well things were going fine i had 1 hole left and my wifes oldest son cam over to the shed bugging me and i slipped and drilled a hole clean through the headstock!! gives the old pos some more carecter..jason |
