I've sent an e-mail to the French Ebay security service.
This guy is also selling a Gibson Chet Atkins and he used some pics of an old Ebay USA listing...

Not sure of the translation but it's probably something like that:
"Est il con??"... :D

Sounds like the guy in this story I found on the Darwin Awards website.

"The following mind-boggling attempt at a crime spree appeared to be the robber's first, due to his lack of a previous record of violence, and his terminally stupid choices:

1. His target was H&J Leather & Firearms. A gun shop.

2. The shop was full of customers - firearms customers.

3. To enter the shop, the robber had to step around a marked police patrol car parked at the front door.

4. A uniformed officer was standing at the counter, having coffee before work.

Upon seeing the officer, the would-be robber announced a holdup, and fired a few wild shots. The officer and a clerk promptly returned fire, covered by several customers who also drew their guns, thereby removing the confused criminal from the gene pool.

No one else was hurt." :D :D

With the e-mail address of the seller, one of my friend has found his phone number and his name and he called him!!!

As you can imagine, the guy was a little bit surprised.

The listing is now closed since few minutes...

What a jerk!
Shouldn't anybody in France, who may be interested in a guitar like this know your page?

I remember this guitar very well, it was origninally listed on the german bay, and I wanted to pull the trigger until I saw a french bid - and I imagined that it could be a friend of yours, so I let it pass. And I was right, a week later you had those pics on your page. And I think, the original owner should be very happy with his guitar, because he got it for a very good price.

Maybe this picture-steal-guy will try it again withs pics from your page on the german bay, so we german guys have to be careful.

Best regards To Jerome and the rest,
Kurt

Thanks Kurt,

Patrick, the actual owner is very happy with his guitar and he just bought a very nice Charlie amp to play with.

I'm not sure that this guy will post new listings because my friend will report this fraud to one of his friend who is a policeman!!
We're fed up with all these fu@%#ng guys and Ebay don't do anything to eradicate this sh%t, that's why we're trying to do their job.
The fraudulent listing for the Gibson Chet Atkins should be closed too...

We are serious bidders and real O's lovers and we don't want to see such cretins tarnish our credibility with honest sellers.
If we don't do anything, who will sell us nice O's???

I wonder how many times these guy's actually get money from people. ?? I am sorry, but this is pathetic ya know. It has to be more of a hassel to copy photo's and dodge questions from educated bidders and the Ebay police themselves, changing user names and getting others to bid for you to build up feedback???? Seems like more work than the money they can get fom some poor dumb slob from time to time. ?? I am also curious why some of these people can't be arrested for fraud or outright robbery. Something???

Hi Paulmac, my brother just contacted the guy who published this Adamas on ebay. His answer is quite clear. He sent us an actual pic of this guitar with his computer opened on ebay reply screen. He seems very honest and quite frankly far from being a fraud.

This Adamas is to be republish tomorrow with pics showing his business card on it on ebay.

Maybe you two should talk calmly over the phone about this affair.

Sincerly,
Jean

I'd like to add some comments about this sad story between this guy and me.
I told him:

- to use his own pics or to inform that the pics on his listing comes from another place and that it's the same model.
- to give the same information when he sends more pics via e-mails.
- and to say the truth about his guitar...

At my own opinion, this guy is buying guitars in USA and he try to sell them in France twice the price he payed for.
That's why his feedbacks are not available in his profile.
By this way, he hopes that nobody will see what he bought in the last 3 months.

Let's see tomorrow if his Adamas 1681-7 for sale is THIS ONE???

If I'm right and I'm sure that I'm right, you'll well understand why he used pics of the head of MY ADAMAS and not his own pics...

For our Friends who don't read French, he wrote "en très bon état" on his listing.
The translation is "in very good condition"...

Look at the photo of the back of the head (#10).
There's a small piece where the color is lighter than the rest of the picture at the exact place where the head was broken.
Very strange isn't it???

Not sure but the "nice job" seems to be done with photoshop!!!
